Project Manager

What You'll Do:

    • Develop project ideas into standard deliverable products ready for the stage gate process
    • Create clear and attainable project objectives in consultation with stakeholders, sponsors, subject matter experts (SME's) and the program manager
    • Work in multi-discipline projects including but not limited to - Mechanical, Civil, Structural and Electrical/Electronic discipline aspects
    • Ensure Projects and completed safely, within budget and on time.
    • Collect and document project requirements verbally in WBS and schedules
    • Identify, communicate and manage risk associated to the project
    • Facilitate development of required stage deliverables
    • Ensure that all milestone and/or key deliverables within a stage have been reviewed and accepted by stakeholders
    • Complete financial approval documents (Cost estimates, requisitions, requests for funding)
    • Monitor and manage project performance - cost, schedule, scope and quality
    • Manage change requests through the Project Change requests
    • Communicate project performance and changes with stakeholders
    • Manage and communicate with Project Team
    • Perform change management activities for the project as required to ensure the successful creation, implementation and attainment of business value of the deliverable
    • Ensure the deliverables for each stage are completed and ready for submission for approval
    • Ensure that all funding request documents are complete and ready for submission for approval
    • Ensure change order requests are adequately documented prior to approval requests


What You'll Bring:

  • PMP or other formal project administration training would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience guiding projects and/or major maintenance projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate, written and oral, with a variety of stakeholders - internal and external
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, Oracle, Jira, financial management software, P6 scheduling are all considered assets
  • Experience with project coordination, construction administration, supervision, quality assurance/control, and procurement are all considered assets
