About the position

The person in this role is a licensed civil engineer responsible for managing the full lifecycle of land development projects-from concept through design, permitting, and construction support. The Project Manager oversees budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and team coordination while maintaining accountability for technical accuracy and client satisfaction. This role leads internal project teams, coordinates with subconsultants and permitting agencies, and communicates directly with clients to ensure deliverables are aligned with expectations and regulations. The Project Manager contributes to proposal development, task delegation, QA/QC oversight, and staff mentoring. Deep knowledge of local development ordinances, utility design, drainage standards, and construction practices is essential.

Essential functions
  • Manage the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects from design through permitting and construction support.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, scopes of work, timelines, and staffing plans.
  • Oversee the technical production of project deliverables, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead client communication, including meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to align design and permitting strategies.
  • Assign, track, and review work performed by engineers and CAD staff, providing oversight and mentorship.
  • Conduct and review engineering analyses and technical reports.
  • Lead QA/QC reviews, ensuring accuracy of plans, calculations, and specifications.
  • Guide junior staff through professional development and licensure preparation.

Pay:
  • Starting at $105,000 annual salary depending on experience
