Our Provincial Government client requires the services of an experienced PMP or Prince2 certified Senior Project Manager for a contract engagement here in Ottawa. This will be a full-time remote working opportunity for the incoming Project Manager.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for concurrently managing several critical projects by being actively engaged in each project. Additionally, he/she will oversee the planning and coordination of project activities; be actively involved in producing and ensuring project deliverables are produced on time; actively monitor, track and work to resolve issues; and provide status updates to key stakeholders - to ensure all projects are completed on time, on budget, within scope in order to produce the outcomes the client requires.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity would be an experienced and hands-on Project Manager who can operate in a fluid, dynamic and complex environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educated to Bachelor Degree level
• Active PMP and/or Prince2 project management certification holder
• 10+ years' experience as a Project Manager within a consulting environment
• Experience managing multiple client projects at one time - primarily business /enterprise focused (not IT)
• Experience leading or participating in business process re-engineering (BPR) or requirements gathering activities
• Strong time management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fluid environment
• Very good understanding of project management methods and processes with the ability to apply them to complex project initiatives
• Ability to be self-directed and work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
• Strong business and technical acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus ability to present to, and confidently engage with, senior stakeholders.
