What You'll Need:- Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture (required)
- Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- Licensed Architect with 10+ years of professional experience in Architecture
- Experience working with the New York School Construction Authority
- Ability to lead teams and manage clients
- Experience in new building construction and Construction Administration
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
- Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
- Must be proficient in REVIT with the ability to utilize it frequently (required)
- Experienced in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling software
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Excellent written + verbal communication and client relationship management skills
What You'll Do:- Lead and manage client expectations, team communication, and oversight of consultant coordination
- Provide design and delivery process leadership to the full design team and the client team
- Lead and manage multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
- Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative technical/constructable solutions
- Manage and direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks
- Be Responsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
- Facilitate the process for submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
- Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
- Coordinate client billing and follow up with the client on collection
Salary Range: Starting salary $140,000 (The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience and education.)
