Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in engineering and building systems commissioning for complex MEP projects
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
• Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification required
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with commissioning software and document management tools

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning efforts for complex building systems such as HVAC and electrical distribution
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
• Develop and manage commissioning plans and schedules
• Plan and oversee functional performance testing for MEP systems
• Apply technical expertise to verify commissioning processes
• Review design documents and control sequences for consistency
• Conduct design-phase commissioning activities, including feedback and specification development
• Manage commissioning issues and collaborate to resolve them efficiently
• Facilitate commissioning meetings with project teams and owners
• Document system performance and prepare commissioning reports
• Train operations staff and mentor junior engineers on commissioning best practices
