Position Overview:

Trillium Health Partners is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Capital Planning and Redevelopment portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Construction (M Site), the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Trillium Healthworks Project at M-Site, known as known as The Future Home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. Leveraging your experience in the building design and construction of health capital projects, the Project manager will function as the main point of contact between the hospital and the construction partner.

M Site project is a new acute hospital, delivered under the Design Build Finance Maintain (DBFM) model in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO). The new build will accommodate clinical and non-clinical support programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage construction activities on-site including logistics, quality control and hospital shutdowns.
  • Lead internal hospital communications to ensure construction activities and logistics are effectively communicated and minimize impacts to ongoing hospital operations.
  • Coordinate enabling teams, such as Communications, Finance and Information Systems to ensure an integrated design and project implementation.
  • Lead quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure alignment with design intent and logistics plan.
  • Engage with internal project team and external stakeholders including the contractor, prime consultant, and other associated consultants for all items related to Project delivery.
  • Coordinate plans with agencies having jurisdiction, including but not limited to the City of Mississauga.
  • Contribute project budget development activities and risk management.
  • Support Project team to review and ensure quality control/assurance of project reports, meeting minutes, schedules
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders on an ongoing engagement and communication to support project objectives.
  • Work occasional evening and night shifts, as required, to align with construction activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet project timelines and deliverables.


Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, including experience delivering greenfield projects.
  • University degree or college diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction field experience will be considered.
  • Experience working on large-scale capital construction projects valued at $100M+.
  • Hands-on experience, on site construction experience, with demonstrated understanding of site operations, safety practices and logistics coordination.
  • On site experience in construction field working in a hospital setting or with a hospital as a client, ideally delivering DBFM project.
  • Working at heights, knowledge and experience being on large construction job sites and ability to identify hazards.
  • Knowledge in the design and construction of health capital infrastructure and operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building codes standards, applicable to health care environments.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, reports and studies of all design disciplines (architectural, electrical, mechanical and structural).
  • Experience with project management processes, including scheduling reporting and coordination with stakeholders, as well as corporate level reporting
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams as well as working independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Effective interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships
  • Experience preparing clear and effective and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
  • Competency in Microsoft 365 Excel, Word and PowerPoint and construction related software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam and Procore. This position is not remote/hybrid and will work on the construction site.
