Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Project Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and financial oversight for assigned construction projects. Responsible from preconstruction through completion, the Project Manager ensures projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders. This position will be tied to our San Diego Office with regular travel to the Low Desert. We would also consider local candidates from that area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project team in planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, design team, and subcontractors.
  • Manage procurement, contract administration, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to maintain jobsite safety, monitor progress, and resolve issues.
  • Oversee change order management, project financials, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Chair internal and external project meetings; ensure accountability and timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate with Estimating during preconstruction and prepare detailed bid packages.
  • Assist in developing technical proposals for RFP responses and support business development efforts.
  • Mentor and support team members; conduct performance reviews and foster growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related. We will consider experience in lieu of a Degree
  • 8-10+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced experience with Viewpoint and P6 scheduling software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and estimating.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and stairs, and working in various environmental conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be made as necessary.
Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed on-site at construction projects with exposure to weather, machinery, and typical construction-related hazards. Noise levels vary from moderate to loud; appropriate PPE is required.
