Structural Project Manager (Railway Construction) - Akron, OH - Job 26-00325

Salary Range:
$73,000 - $120,000 Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A leading Akron-based engineering firm to recruit a Structural Construction Project Manager with railway experience. We are looking for a strategic leader who can command every phase of railway infrastructure-from planning and sub-contractor management to safety and final delivery. As the primary liaison for project owners, you won't just manage tasks; you will drive the safety culture, fiscal health, and long-term success of high-profile regional projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Lead project teams, subcontractors, and equipment logistics to ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
  • Safety & Compliance: Partner with the Safety Director to exceed safety goals; conduct monthly inspections and ensure 100% adherence to labor and EEO regulations.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Manage the full project lifecycle, including baseline scheduling, job cost set-up, margin analysis, and contract claims.
  • Strategic Planning: Review proposals to determine staffing and resource allotment; develop and maintain baseline project schedules.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain high-level relationships with owners and architects, managing change orders and invoicing with precision.
  • Team Mentorship: Champion skill development for Superintendents and Project Engineers; lead with a focus on team camaraderie and best practices.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
  • Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in construction.
  • Field Expertise: Proven track record directing craft labor (Foreman/Superintendent capacity) and extensive knowledge of construction methods/materials.
