Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Approves reports for upper management regarding status of project. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in applicable job-related field and six (6) years of project manager experience or equivalent combination of project manager education/experience. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures - Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals - Performs a variety of tasks - Ability to lead and direct the work of others - A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected - Typically reports to head of a unit/department Responsibilities - Oversees all aspects, including scope, of project; may lead and direct the work of others. - Oversees project plans and cost projections and approves revisions as appropriate; oversees the allocation of resources to ensure objectives are met. - Aligns project activities with organizational objectives; ensures project outcomes equate to organizational success. - Oversees the development of policies and procedures to meet project requirements. - Oversees the resolution of problems in order to maintain progress, - Oversees key activities and ensures accuracy of project documents and reports. - The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
