Job SummaryGA-ASI has an opportunity for a Project Manager within the Integrated Product Support (IPS) directorate. This role supports the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of IPS products across the MQ-9 portfolio.
This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of one or more project(s) and serves as a liaison between project management and the project team, planning, engineering, line management, and the customer on issues such as operational and scheduling concerns. Continually reviews status of project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget. Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. May accomplish tasks through subordinate staff and/or management. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, line management, and the customer. Responsible for decisions which have an impact on outcomes and where failure to complete assignments will typically result in serious delays and expenditure of additional resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Execute assigned IPS scope and schedule for one or more programs. Translate contract requirements, SOW language, and program priorities into defined IPS execution plans under guidance of senior leadership, covering Technical Publications (IETP/data modules and supporting artifacts), Logistics Data, and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional IPS execution. Work across Tech Pubs, Logistics, Configuration Management, Engineering, Program Management, and external stakeholders to ensure inputs are available, work is sequenced correctly, and deliverables progress to the required maturity level.
- Maintain the IPS operating rhythm. Support development and upkeep of integrated schedules, events and states tracking, percent complete logic, and milestone reporting. Prepare clear, accurate status reporting for senior and program leadership.
- Manage requirements, assumptions, and change at the execution level. Maintain requirements traceability for assigned scope, track assumptions, and support impact assessments for changes to cost, schedule, technical content, configuration, or delivery. Ensure changes are documented and reflected in plans and reports.
- Support CSDB/IETP and source-data readiness. Coordinate with engineering, CM, and Tech Pubs to track source data availability, confirm authoring readiness, and support development sequencing that enables validation activities as planned.
- Identify and track risks and issues. Maintain execution-level risk and issue logs for assigned programs, develop mitigation recommendations, escalate concerns early, and support recovery actions led by senior leadership when delivery is at risk.
- Support delivery preparation and external-facing readiness. Assist in coordinating reviews, packaging, and delivery of IPS products to ensure contractual and internal expectations are met, including documentation of deviations when required.
- Support proposal and capture activities as needed. Contribute to ROMs, BOEs, schedules, and staffing inputs for new business, sustainment expansions, or emergent requirements under direction of senior leadership.
- Apply and reinforce standard IPS processes. Use established templates, tools, dashboards, and governance mechanisms consistently. Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and provide improvement recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance. Perform all duties in accordance with security, export, safety, and regulatory requirements wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Job Qualifications- Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Solid understanding of project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, coordination, earned value and reporting.
- Ability to manage assigned scope independently while working within established program direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear status updates and brief leadership as required.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues, assess impacts, and develop practical recommendations.
- Desired Experience:
- Experience in defense or aerospace development or sustainment environments.
- Familiarity with technical publications development and digital delivery concepts (IETP/CSDB lifecycle awareness).
- Exposure to logistics data products and sustainment planning outputs.
- Working knowledge of configuration management principles and baseline control.
- Experience supporting proposal development activities is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and scheduling or tracking tools such as MS Project. Experience with workflow or task management systems is desirable.
- Periodic travel to GA-ASI facilities and/or customer locations may be required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
