The Office of the Mayor seeks a collaborative and community-centered Project Manager III to manage the implementation of the Atlanta Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative (ANRI). This role focuses primarily on the advancement of projects in the Westside neighborhoods of English Avenue, Vine City, Grove Park, and Bankhead. However, they may be asked to support other broader ANRI efforts as needed. This role will serve as the primary point of coordination for ANRI work in these neighborhoods, driving community outreach and relationship building efforts with neighborhood residents and leaders to ensure effective communication and engagement. This role requires working closely with City staff, community members, partner organizations, public agencies, and other key stakeholders to advance neighborhood revitalization projects and investments. This position reports to Executive Office.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use project management tools and data-driven analysis to identify problem areas and opportunities, set targets and design and implement action-oriented plans to drive tangible results for the City;
• Partner with and guide departments in identifying strategic opportunities and developing clear and appropriate implementation plans to deliver results on all initiatives in the priority areas;
• Develop performance improvement recommendations and implementation plans within budget/policy constraints and evaluate impact of change on service delivery, productivity and cost efficiency;
• Plan, manage, and follow through to ensure the smooth flow of activities that deliver project results and anticipate obstacles or gaps that would impact project success;
• Actively manage large-scale projects, including leading project meetings, facilitating project team interaction, managing scope, managing deadlines, managing project budgets and ensuring on-time delivery of solutions;
• Support the team's strategic framework and best practices for innovation and performance delivery throughout the City of Atlanta organization;
• Drive community outreach and relationship building efforts with neighborhood residents and leaders to ensure effective communication and engagement.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders, including senior government officials and private and nonprofit sector leaders; and
• Take initiative to effectively identify solutions and drive departments and partners toward results.
• Produce clear, concise and consistent deliverables to communicate problems and recommendations with attention to presentation and potential audiences
• Support the team's strategic framework and best practices for innovation and performance delivery throughout the City of Atlanta organization;
• Drive community outreach and relationship building efforts with neighborhood residents and leaders to ensure effective communication and engagement.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders, including senior government officials and private and nonprofit sector leaders; and take initiative to effectively identify solutions and drive departments and partners toward results.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate and/or Master's degree in Business/Public Administration, Finance, Public Policy, Industrial Engineering, City Planning or other data-driven field;
• 6-10 years of project management, business analysis, finance, operations or consulting experience in a demanding analytic environment; experience in management, strategy or operational consulting preferred but not required;
