Organization:

SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview:

Directs cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs within a designated timeframe, scope, and budget. Plans, organizes, monitors, and oversees one or more concurrent projects which are less complicated, smaller in size, scope and budget or are focused on local affiliate defined requirements or business specifications. Assigns project tasks to designated team members. Identifies and escalates issues as appropriate. Projects assigned are limited in scope and may involve multiple functional areas and/or span across service areas. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices/policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. The Project Manager will collaborate with community partners.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • PMP-Project Management Professional within 1 1/2 Yrs of hire


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • General knowledge of the project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, financial management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping.
  • A business background sufficient to understand the operations and technical issues involved with the project and industry, to be able to anticipate and identify obstacles, and make accurate decisions and recommendations.
  • Interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with management, vendors, peers and staff.
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Basic knowledge of principles of Lean management systems.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and support through effective use of influence and persuasion required.
  • Conceptual, analytical and negotiation skills are necessary, along with skills in solving straightforward problems and developing actionable recommendations.

Pay Range is $42.41 to $63.62 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
