About this Role
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead the successful delivery of high-voltage transmission line and substation construction projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and client satisfaction. You will work closely with field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver utility infrastructure projects that power communities safely and reliably.
**Open to candidates with PM type skills with backgrounds in legal, contracts, finance, etc. Willing to train the right candidates. If you are a Project Manager in a like industry, you are also encouraged to apply**
What You'll Do
Lead Project Execution
Manage transmission and substation construction projects from award through final turnover.
Oversee pre-construction planning, scheduling, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and closeout.
Partner with Superintendents and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction.
Conduct constructability reviews and assist with estimating and work planning efforts.
Champion Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce PAR Electric27s safety culture and OSHA compliance.
Conduct site visits and participate in safety meetings and reviews.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, contract requirements, and utility standards.
Manage Financial Performance
Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and productivity tracking.
Monitor labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.
Identify risks early and implement corrective action plans to protect project margins.
Drive Schedule & Resource Planning
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using approved scheduling tools.
Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to meet milestones.
Pro-actively resolve schedule conflicts and field challenges.
Serve as Client Liaison
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Lead project meetings and provide clear status reporting.
Manage scope changes, negotiate change orders, and maintain strong client relationships.
Ensure Documentation & Quality
Oversee RFIs, submittals, daily reports, change management, and project closeout documentation.
Maintain accurate reporting in company project management systems.
Ensure quality control processes are followed throughout construction.

What You'll Bring
Preferred Experience & Technical Knowledge (Open to Training Right Candidates)
3-5+ years of experience in transmission and/or substation construction.
Proven experience managing utility-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of high-voltage construction methods, sequencing, and safety requirements.
Experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications.
Leadership & Communication Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead field and office teams effectively.
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Tools & Systems
Proficiency in construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar systems) preferred.
Strong reporting and project controls capabilities.
Education & Credentials
Bachelor27s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Valid driver27s license.
Ability to travel to project sites within surrounding regions as required.
PMP certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.
