Duties: Duties: Responsible for administration of assigned projects, including specific phases of project management under supervision, working with schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports. Manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site. Work directly with owners/clients, field superintendents, subcontractors, internal accounting, and construction management team. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility. Participate in owner/client sales presentations. Participate in design development, budget preparation, and project schedule. Share job cost responsibility with supervising Project Manager or Director of Construction and keep supervisor informed of efforts. Prepare and control budget, schedule, and bid documents; negotiate and award subcontracts. Help prepare profit projections. Conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports. Conduct project close-out duties, including final cost, punch list, final billing, and final collection of fees. Work on low-rise and mid-rise projects with size ranges of $1 - $60+ million. Position requires domestic travel up to 50% of the time as is customary and needed for the occupation. Supervise 1 (one) subordinate with the following titles: Project Engineer Intern (1).
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or related field and 24 months of experience in commercial construction with low and mid-rise buildings. Must also have 24 months of experience in each of the following: 1. Generating RFIs (Requests for Information) and tracking approvals; 2. Monitoring and maintaining shop drawing logs and
shop drawing coordination; 3. Implementing project dimensional control requirements and field verifying dimensions; 4. Coordinating and tracking vendor and subcontractor deliveries; 5. Completing Punchlist inspections, recording Punchlist items, and monitoring completion of Punchlist work; 6. Working with city and jurisdictional permit inspection processes; 7. Coordinating MEPFP and architectural/structural clashes using the BIM model; and 8. Utilizing all of following tools/technologies/software: Procore, Textura, Nexus, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
