Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including budget, schedule, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Oversee project setup, progress tracking, and closeout documentation.
  • Collaborate with Field Supervisors and Executive Leadership to align project goals and performance metrics.
  • Review subcontractor agreements, change orders, and project invoices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with owners, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Lead project meetings and prepare reports summarizing progress, issues, and cost performance.
  • Support continuous improvement and adherence to company safety, environmental, and quality programs.

Location: MN, ND, SD, MT, IA, & NE
Employment Type: Exempt, Full-Time, Year-Round
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (hours will vary based on project needs and the time of year)

Central Specialties, Inc. is seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction projects from bid award through final completion. This role requires a strong balance of field presence, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including budget, schedule, subcontractors, and materials.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Job, or similar project management and estimating software.
  • Experience with Minnesota, North/South Dakota, Montana, Iowa, and Nebraska DOT projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
