OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Project Manager to manage and provide oversight on assigned 616th Operations Center (616 OC) and 616th Air Communications Squadron (ACOMS) short and long term IT projects. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities
Creates integrated project plans for contract deliverables and new products in development projects. Manages a project team comprised of a multidisciplinary staff. Reviews, manages and controls status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers. Generally reports to a Program Manager.
- Manages the direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
- Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment.
- Supervises professional and technical support personnel performing in their regular disciplines.
- Schedules tasks and coordinates with various team members to accomplish the results.
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking, analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager supporting Department of Defense (DOD) programs or contracts.
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports utilizing (MS Project, Excel, ServiceNow, or applicable tools)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief senior government and contract leadership
- Proven expertise in strategic military personnel management with the ability to optimize team dynamics and address ongoing performance gaps
- Strong competencies in tactical project execution, SOP development, resource allocation, lifecycle management, continuity building, and stakeholder communication.
- Demonstrated ability to swiftly assess current workflows and implement necessary efficiencies within established project frameworks.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with SharePoint
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition process and lifecycle management.
Posted Salary RangeUSD $125,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
