Position Title: Project Manager, Operational Performance & Analytics

Classification: Exempt

Type: Full Time - Weekdays - Onsite Plano, TX

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Summary: The Project Manager, Operational Performance & Analytics, is responsible for end-to-end project management and coordination across the Chief Operating Officer's operational portfolio. This role takes initiatives of varying size and complexity from intake through delivery and close-out, keeping work coordinated, on schedule, and fully transparent. The Project Manager serves as a liaison between the COO and project teams, translating strategic direction into executable plans and keeping the right voices at the table.

Essential Functions

The Project Manager manages and coordinates major initiatives across multiple functions. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who works effectively with cross-functional teams, ensures timelines are met, and communicates clear, executive-level updates to the COO and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own project management and coordination for the COO's operational portfolio, taking initiatives from intake through planning, execution, delivery, and close-out.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones, and keep all work visible and transparent in a shared system such as Monday.com.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Family Services, Government Programs, Compliance, Technology, and partner functions to keep initiatives aligned and moving.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues, developing contingency plans and keeping the COO and stakeholders current.
  • Facilitate working sessions and team meetings, capturing decisions, action items, and owners, and holding teams accountable to their commitments.
  • Monitor and report on progress with clear, executive-level communication that highlights achievements, challenges, and next steps.
  • Manage project close-out, confirming deliverables are complete and capturing and sharing lessons learned.

As experience and bandwidth allow, this role may also grow to:
  • Partner with the COO to connect project work to Human Coalition's Mission Impact Optimization priorities, helping identify which initiatives advance key outcomes and surfacing when work is drifting off course.
  • Bring a continuous-improvement lens to recurring operational processes, recommending practical refinements that increase efficiency and clarity.
  • Support broader operational and financial modeling efforts as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Proven project management experience with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices, including platforms such as Monday.com.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a drive to see projects across the finish line.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with operational and financial models, with the ability to support broader modeling efforts.
  • Background in business intelligence, analytics, or data-informed decision-making a plus.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.


Performance Metrics

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on:
  • On-time delivery of strategic projects (target: at least 90% delivered on time).
  • Budget adherence across all projects (target: variance of 15% or less).
  • Quality, clarity, and transparency of executive-level reporting and project tracking.
