Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; preference for an Associate's degree in Electrical Power or equivalent military training.
• 5+ years of experience managing electrical maintenance projects or switchgear commissioning.
• Familiarity with Doble software, automated CT sets, relay testing, and other electrical testing methodologies is preferred.
• NETA Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• General PC skills including Microsoft Office; experience with PowerDB is advantageous.
• OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, and NFPA safety training preferred; training provided by company.
• Ability to work safely and follow strict electrical safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection for electrical systems up to 500kV.
• Perform at least half of responsibilities in the field.
• Collaborate with the sales department for job estimation and pre-planning.
• Delegate tasks to crew members effectively.
• Engage with customers for job progress updates and issue resolution.
• Identify job scope expansion opportunities for discussion with customers.
• Monitor job budgets through technician time and material reviews.
• Conduct final job walks with customers to ensure smooth commissioning.
• Handle emergency on-call duties for timely customer response.
