Project Manager - Environmental

MC Squared is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team. This role will lead environmental projects, manage client relationships, mentor staff, and support the continued growth of our environmental consulting practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple environmental projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations are met.
  • Lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including site reconnaissance, field investigations, technical evaluations, and report preparation.
  • Review field and laboratory data and develop recommendations for additional investigation and remediation as appropriate.
  • Coordinate environmental sampling, laboratory testing, drilling, subcontractors, and permitting activities.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including hazardous waste and Clean Water Act requirements.
  • Manage and mentor environmental staff, providing technical guidance and opportunities for professional development.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, lead meetings, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support preparation of technical proposals and contribute to business development and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor project quality, safety, and risk throughout project execution.
  • Promote safe work practices and a culture of quality and continuous improvement.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and environmental due diligence.
  • Strong understanding of applicable environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Experience managing projects, clients, and environmental or engineering staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG), or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Experience with business development, proposal preparation, and client development.
  • Active membership in relevant professional or technical organizations.
