About This Job

Join our team as a Project Manager-Engineer, where you lead and shape civil engineering projects from concept to completion. You will drive the successful execution of projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timeline objectives. This role blends your engineering expertise with strong project leadership. You will serve as a key point of contact, guiding projects through all project phases and fostering collaboration among diverse teams and external partners.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads and manages civil engineering projects, overseeing all phases from planning and design through construction and closeout.
  • Develops and maintains project Budgets and Schedules, ensuring projects remain on track and within financial parameters.
  • Implements effective Cost Control strategies to optimize resource allocation and project profitability.
  • Applies Civil Engineering principles to design and review Site Layouts, Zoning requirements, and Stormwater management plans.
  • Manages the permitting process, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Engages in proactive Stakeholder Management, building strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Negotiates with municipalities and utilities to secure necessary approvals and facilitate project progress.
  • Interacts regularly with Regulatory Agencies, ensuring all project activities adhere to established guidelines.
  • Utilizes AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design, analysis, and documentation of project plans.
  • Communicates project status, risks, and changes clearly and concisely to all stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.
Qualifications
Education
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Experience
  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Project Management within a civil engineering context.
  • Demonstrates proven experience in managing project Budgets and Schedules.
  • Has direct experience interacting with Regulatory Agencies and securing project permitting.
  • Shows a track record of successful Stakeholder Management and Negotiating with municipalities and utilities.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Applies strong knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiently uses AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and drafting.
  • Understands Zoning laws, Stormwater management, and Site Layouts.
  • Excels in Project Management methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrates excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications
