Project Manager, Electrical
Position SummaryRoss Group is seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage industrial electrical projects with a strong focus on power distribution, instrumentation, and construction execution. This role will serve as the on-site project leader in Pryor, OK, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical electrical expertise and proven project management experience, particularly within oil & gas or similar industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical project execution from planning through commissioning
- Serve as on-site Project Manager with daily oversight of construction activities
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Review and approve equipment submittals, including:
- Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear
- Low Voltage (LV) Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Motors and associated equipment
- Oversee installation and construction related to:
- 4160V and 480V power systems
- Instrumentation and controls
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Provide cost tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting
- Support and lead commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and field personnel
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Will consider candidates without PE based on strong project management experience
- PMP certification is a plus
Experience Requirements- 5+ years ofelectrical project management experience in industrial environments
- Experience in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial projects strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Medium and low voltage power systems (4160V / 480V)
- Instrumentation and controls
- Equipment submittal review and approval
- Construction oversight and field coordination
- Commissioning and startup support
