This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The Distribution Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of distribution and logistics projects. This role ensures all activities are aligned with contractual requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. The manager serves as the primary liaison between the organization and Government or client stakeholders, providing leadership in project coordination, resource management, and operational performance.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Distribution Project Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

Distribution Project Manager Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the primary point of contact and authorize representatives for all matters related to contract performance.
Oversee daily distribution activities to include but not limited to planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the distribution center
Implement safety and security procedures in compliance with regulations
Ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock control procedures IAW SOPs (or whatever DLA is using to outline their processes)
Develop and manage budget and cost control measures
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Resolve any risks, issues or complaints related to distribution
Perform the transactions required with the current Accountable Property System of Record (ASPR)
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of distribution projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Provide leadership in managing personnel, resources, contracts, and funds across assigned projects.
Oversee and ensure high standards of organizational, technical, and business performance.
Exercise authority to resolve issues, allocate resources effectively, and drive project outcomes in alignment with Government directives.
Collaborate closely with Government stakeholders to ensure clear communication and client satisfaction.
Manage large-scale projects and contracts, including the integration of operational and administrative activities.
Maintain readiness to deploy globally within 48 hours in support of urgent or emerging Government requirements.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Distribution Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 10 years in Government or private-sector roles).
At least 3 years of experience in project or program management, with a demonstrated ability to oversee contracts and lead diverse teams.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and drive results.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience interfacing with Government clients and senior stakeholders.
