Project Manager - Data Center

Kingsport, TN (and regional Southeast project sites)
Position Summary

TEC Industrial is seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager with Data Center experience to lead large-scale, fast-paced construction projects. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of complex industrial projects-ensuring safe execution, schedule adherence, cost control, and strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in industrial construction and hands-on experience delivering mission-critical/data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and management for large-scale industrial and data center construction projects
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements
• Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Manage change orders and contract administration
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and field teams
• Serve as primary client contact
• Lead project reviews with executive leadership
• Ensure successful delivery of mission-critical systems
• Drive planning, scheduling, and risk mitigation
Data Center / Mission-Critical Focus
• Medium/high-voltage electrical systems
• UPS systems, generators, and backup power
• Cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chilled water)
• Control systems and commissioning/startup
• Coordinate commissioning teams to ensure reliability and uptime
Qualifications
• 7+ years industrial construction project management experience
• Proven data center or mission-critical project experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, piping, and electrical systems
• Experience with project management tools (Primavera P6, Procore)
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
