Duties and experience:
Will be expected to provide day-to-day project management leadership on an average of 2 projects at any one time. The projects will typically be staggered between different phases (planning, design, construction and closeout).
Projects will be for 3-5 year duration and be valued between $3M - $50 million.
Projects will be concentrated on abatement, demolition, and heavy highway infrastructure.
The APM may be a DGS full time employee or a contractor from a different PM firm than the SPM. The SPM shall be expected to work hand-in-hand with the APM on all project tasks regardless of whether the APM is from the same firm as the SPM.
Projects will be in the Infrastructure Development and Special Projects program
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project or construction management, or a related field;
A minimum of 7 years of project management experience within construction management environment
Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, and delivery;
Experience working on larger projects (typically those above $15 million).
Experience in leading a project and all aspects of project management - schedule, budget, resource planning, risk management, coordination;
Experience working on infrastructure, hazmat abatement demolition and historic projects is a prerequisite. Also, experience working on full site development projects is a plus.
Must have knowledge of utility and roadway projects, demolition projects with or without abatement.
Experience working on projects in urban settings.
