Full Job Description
Position Summary

DynaTen is seeking a Project Manager to join our Construction team. This position is responsible for managing HVAC and plumbing construction projects, including planning, coordinating, executing, and completing assigned work. The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered effectively within cost, schedule, quality, and safety parameters.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more commercial mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects of varying size and complexity


  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and in compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements


  • Maintain and monitor general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts before, during, and upon completion


  • Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize, and schedule project work and ensure compliance with contractual documents


  • Create project schedule of values, budgets, and cost code structures


  • Prepare and submit progress payment applications and review subcontractor payment applications


  • Prepare and submit change orders to secure compensation for scope, design, or schedule changes


  • Manage project financial performance, including billings, revenue tracking, forecasting, and cost control


  • Track project costs and maintain accurate financial reporting


  • Review contracts and generate subcontract agreements ensuring compliance and accountability


  • Negotiate equipment and PVF buyouts for assigned projects


  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracts and maintain records in accordance with accounting policies


  • Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate project schedules, RFIs, and change orders


  • Generate and maintain accurate project schedules and manpower forecasts


  • Coordinate with BIM, prefabrication, and field teams to support project execution


  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including reports, photographs, and logs


  • Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed in coordination with company safety standards


  • Other duties as assigned


  • Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers


  • Ensure adherence to DynaTen's financial requirements and project documentation standards


  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams


  • Represent DynaTen in a professional and positive manner


  • Manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, and internal teams


  • Support resolution of project challenges, including schedule conflicts and performance issues


  • Demonstrate accountability, organization, and follow-through on all assigned responsibilities


Required Qualifications

  • 4-8 years' experience in project management with a mechanical and/or plumbing contractor or related construction firm


  • Familiarity with building codes (IBC, IMC, IPC) and local jurisdiction requirements (North Texas region preferred)


  • Knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination, prefabrication strategies, and commissioning processes


  • Minimum 4 years experience handling billing to customer via GMP, Lump Sum, or Cost-Plus methodology.


  • Strong organizational and communication skills


  • Minimum 4 years experience in supplier and subcontract negotiations


  • Minumum 4 years experience with self-performed mechanical/plumbing scopes


  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Strong sense of accountability


  • Pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR check


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field strongly preferred


  • Proficiency with COINS, Procore, Autodesk Liquid Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions

Must have the ability to perform the duties above in a non-controlled environment. This will include climbing ladders, working on ladders and elevated surfaces, maintain in good working conditions, tools, materials, and equipment required to your work area. Working exposed to the elements during (when required) at all times of the year. All employees are required to always wear PPE and always follow Safety procedures.
