Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for direction, planning, management and execution of the projects that impact the entire organization at all campuses. The incumbent will liaise with administration, faculty, staff, students and external partners to deliver the portfolio of projects with excellence in quality, on time and on budget. The incumbent will be engaged in projects including, but not limited to, hardware, software, infrastructure and business process projects. The incumbent will work with the Computer Services team as well as departmental user groups to refine and clarify project scope and objectives, identify all linkages and dependencies, deal with cross disciplinary issues and develop strategies to successfully achieve project results.

Education
Minimum level of formal education required for the position 3 year diploma/degree plus professional certification or equivalent education

- Outstanding leadership skills, combined with respect for decision-making through consultation and consensus-building;
- Ability to work with internal and external Department teams;

- Excellent analytical and organizational abilities;
- The capacity to interact effectively with college wide stakeholders as well as unionized and non-unionized staff is essential;
- Ability to work with a variety of project management tools including Microsoft Project/Planner;
- Ability to adapt to an environment where change is frequent, and process ambiguity exists
Field(s) of Study - Experience in Education Sector is preferred
- Experience with large corporate software solutions - ERP, CRM, LMS, etc.
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Project Management
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
Experience
Typical number of years of experience, in addition to the necessary education level, required to perform the responsibilities of the position Minimum of five (5) years
Type of Experience - Five years of related, progressive work experience is required at the point of hire into this position.
- Practical experience in managing large scale projects, with the ability to lead, manage and assist in the planning to successful implementation of these projects.
- Strong supervisory/leadership skills to manage information technology and business process improvement projects, combined with well-developed problem solving, project management and coordination skills to plan concurrent activities.
- Demonstrated experience in software/IT environment - concepts and tools, corporate/enterprise applications.
- Strong planning /organizational capability to determine needs, research requirements, analyse products, develop proposals, superior dependability at meeting deadlines, delivering quality service.
- Experience working with Business Process Analysts and understanding business process flows.
- Demonstrated application of PMBOK (Project Mgmt Body of Knowledge)
