Why this role is important?

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Transformation, the successful candidate will own the execution of a key strategic portfolio in Central Pharmacy Services through its pilot phases and beyond. Working with the Director of Customer Success & Innovation who provides overall portfolio leadership, this role will be responsible for day-to-day execution across the portfolio, ensuring deliverables are met, stakeholders are aligned, and projects delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-plan.

This role owns the business side of a technically complex portfolio involving significant tool development across multiple solutions. They will partner closely with IT project managers, technical teams, retail pharmacies, and operational stakeholders while maintaining accountability for business readiness and successful adoption. The successful candidate will be a self-directed professional who drives the portfolio forward, identifying and resolving issues and risks, and maintaining momentum across multiple concurrent initiatives. They will communicate status updates and priorities to senior leadership and project resources through succinct updates, and using strong project management skills and business acumen, will coordinate with cross-functional teams in support of the organization's strategic goals. The successful candidate should have extensive experience managing and launching large-scale projects, and be comfortable with business case analysis, business process documentation, requirements gathering, and project management.

What you will do:
• Lead day-to-day execution of the key strategic portfolio by creating and tracking detailed project plans across multiple initiatives, managing and resolving issues and risks, and communicating status updates and priorities to senior leadership and project resources though succinct updates
• Develop all project management related materials, including project plan, work breakdown structures, milestone maps, status reports, etc.
• Identify project dependencies; work with all business and technology partners to identify dependencies and communicate the impacts if delivery dates are missed
• Proactively identify project issues and risks; work with business leaders to drive to resolution
• Identify scope changes and manage change request process for approval
• Conduct regular meetings with internal and external project teams; both written and verbal communication
• Serve as the key liaison for the business stakeholders and IT teams, proactively clarifying and prioritizing business ideas, needs, and problems that require technology enablement
• Define detailed business requirements by gathering input from corporate and site level resources, and other internal partners as required
• Ensure business readiness through change management planning, training coordination, process documentation, and adoption strategies across all portfolio initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and assess each project milestone closely to identify lessons learned and best practices for implementation in future phases
• Provide leadership and direction in the development of project performance tracking and reporting process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting to business stakeholders and senior leadership team
• Provides coaching and mentorship to project resources on pre-determined work plans and initiatives

Knowledge & Skills:
• Extensive experience with project management tools (preferably MS Project), best practices and strong processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to work in a cross-functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive to clear action and ownership
• Exceptional project and time management skills
• Understanding of pharmaceutical/health care industry a strong asset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

What you will need:
• Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field
• PMP Certification preferred
• Expertise in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies and tools, Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
• 5-7 years of experience managing high-volume, complex, organizational and operational projects
