Project Manager
Position Summary
The Project Management function is responsible for managing the non-technical aspects of projects at Catalent Boston which include customer projects for the development and manufacturing of inhalation products and oral spray dried powders. This includes ensuring on time and on budget delivery of projects and acting as a focal point between customers and our technical team by using project management methodologies and corporate PMO procedures.
This position is responsible for managing activities for a portfolio of projects through leading analytical development and/or manufacturing project teams (and other project teams as designated). This position is the main point of customer contact for project related activities and involves managing the execution of the customer’s requirements as per an agreed upon program of activities. He/she is responsible for overall project knowledge and execution according to the agreed upon deliverables and timeline.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Chelsea, MA

The Role
- Ensure meeting minutes, agendas, timelines, trackers, and other tools are used effectively for customer projects
- Assist Business Development in maintaining customer relationships and ensuring return business by communicating with customers, coordinating visits, and acting as the customer advocate
- Develop, coordinate, and track client projects through the entire project life cycle
- Monitor and report project progress within agreed timelines, ensuring technical and financial goals are met; Consult and advise upper management on project status and report issues that may affect results
- Evaluate, highlight, and escalate unresolved issues, potential barriers, and resource constraints to the supervisor; Prepare verbal reports and presentations on project progress as needed
- Coordinate the revision of Standard Operating Procedures, Batch records, and other site-specific documents for clients
- Follow up to ensure incident reports are closed in a timely manner and notify clients within 24 hours of any incident
- All other duties as assigned
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; Life sciences discipline is preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience is required; preferably in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
- Lifting up to 10 lbs. as needed
Preferred Skills & Background
- Previous pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience is preferred
Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position in MA is $90,000 – $105,000. Plus Bonus. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
