Job Description

We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to join the Branch Banking Chief of Staff Team as a Project Manager supporting strategic and operational initiatives impacting more than 4,500 branches nationwide.

This role offers broad exposure to senior leaders, enterprise priorities, governance routines, employee engagement programs, and rapid-delivery business initiatives. The successful candidate will help drive execution across a diverse portfolio while partnering with stakeholders throughout Consumer Bank to advance key priorities and deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Success requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to influence outcomes across a matrixed organization while navigating ambiguity and competing priorities

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategic and Operational Initiatives - Lead and coordinate high-visibility initiatives that support Branch Banking priorities. Establish clear plans, manage timelines and dependencies, monitor progress, and ensure successful delivery of business outcomes across multiple workstreams. Projects may range from operational improvements and branch initiatives to technology-adjacent implementations and process enhancements
  • Support Leadership Routines - Partner with leadership teams to prepare executive-ready communications, presentations, business reviews, staff meeting materials, and strategic updates. Translate complex information into clear and concise messages that help leaders make informed decisions and drive action

  • Coordinate Governance and Oversight Forums - Own the operating rhythm for governance and oversight committees by facilitating agendas, coordinating materials, documenting key decisions, tracking action items, and ensuring accountability through completion. Anticipate risks, elevate issues, and help stakeholders remain prepared for critical discussions and decision points

  • Champion Employee Recognition Programs - Manage and continuously improve key employee recognition and engagement programs, including communication strategies, stakeholder coordination, governance routines, and program effectiveness measures. Help strengthen employee engagement by ensuring programs are delivered with operational excellence and meaningful impact.

  • Promote Operational Excellence - Establish structure and discipline across a dynamic portfolio by maintaining documentation, monitoring commitments, identifying risks, and ensuring transparent communication and follow-through. Bring a continuous improvement mindset and help create scalable solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

 

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, business management, strategy & operations, consulting, program management, or a related field 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create executive-ready presentations and communications 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 

  • Experience coordinating work across diverse stakeholder groups 

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and drive execution with limited direction 

  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and related productivity tools 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

 

  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams, Chief of Staff organizations, or business management functions 

  • Experience leading governance, risk, compliance, or oversight routines 

  • Familiarity with branch banking, retail financial services, or large-scale operations 

  • Experience supporting employee engagement, recognition, or communications programs 

  • Experience working within a highly matrixed organization 

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and the application of large language models to improve communication, planning, analysis, and operational efficiency while adhering to appropriate controls and governance requirement
