Description
Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Project Manager - Audio/Visual Engineering to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Technology & Logistics Support Services contract at Fort Meade, Maryland. This position serves as the technical lead for broadcast, audio/visual, and communications systems supporting DINFOS training and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will provide expertise in broadcast engineering, audio/video production systems, RF transmission technologies, and academic systems integration. The Project Manager will oversee technical operations, evaluate emerging technologies, provide engineering recommendations, and ensure reliable performance of mission-critical communications and media systems.
*This position is contingent on the award of a federal contractKey Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership and oversight for broadcast engineering, audio/visual, and communications systems supporting DINFOS operations.
- Manage and support radio, television, satellite, still photography, and visual information systems.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair voice, data, video communications, and information technology systems.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for broadcast systems, audio/visual technologies, and RF transmission systems.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend current and emerging technologies to enhance audio/visual, photography, print, and graphics operations.
- Support the integration and sustainment of academic and instructional technology systems.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage technical projects in accordance with established project management principles and best practices.
- Develop technical documentation, reports, recommendations, and implementation plans supporting system improvements and modernization efforts.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, instructors, and technical staff to ensure mission requirements are met.
Requirements
Required Qualifications - Four-year degree or equivalent documented experience as a Broadcast Engineer.
- Current Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) Broadcast Engineer certification or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license.
- Extensive experience supporting broadcast engineering and technical operations.
- Thorough knowledge of radio, television, satellite, still photography, and visual information systems.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing voice, data, and video communications systems.
- Subject matter expertise in broadcast systems, audio/visual systems, and RF transmission technologies.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and procedures.
- Experience researching, evaluating, and implementing technology solutions in media, communications, or educational environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting Department of Defense, military training, or educational institutions.
- Experience with academic systems integration and instructional technology environments.
- PMP or other project management certification.
- Experience leading technical modernization or technology refresh initiatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and audiovisual infrastructure supporting classroom and studio operations.
