POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager, BDC Advisory Services oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives, solution deployments, and operational improvements. The role strengthens delivery discipline, governance, stakeholder alignment, and change adoption while supporting leaders in translating strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.

A core success factor for this role is the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, influence without formal authority, translate strategic intent into practical execution plans, and help the organization absorb change in a consistent and sustainable way.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Strategic Project Delivery
  • Manage strategic initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, desired outcomes, and organizational readiness.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and implementation impacts.
  • Partner with business and program leaders to monitor progress, manage risks, and facilitate decision-making and issue resolution.


Governance, Execution and Operationalization
  • Manage initiatives from planning through implementation and transition to business ownership, including scope, timelines, reporting, risk management, deployment, and post-implementation review.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards and provide leadership-ready reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Establish and continuously improve project management tools, templates, and execution practices that support consistent delivery across Advisory Services.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and follow up on commitments to support successful implementation and operational adoption.


Change Enablement and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support successful change adoption through stakeholder engagement, communication, readiness planning, and reinforcement activities.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes without formal authority by facilitating alignment, clarifying trade-offs, and resolving implementation challenges.
  • Support leaders in preparing teams for change while reinforcing accountability within business areas for long-term adoption and results.


Team Enablement and Capability Building
  • Strengthen project execution capabilities across Advisory Services through coaching, practical guidance, and standardized tools and templates.
  • Leverage collaboration and reporting tools to improve visibility, coordination, and execution effectiveness.
  • Support stakeholders in planning, executing, and sustaining implementation activities.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Project management certification, combined with knowledge of Agile methodology, is a strong asset.
  • Change management training (e.g., Prosci or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Seven to nine years of business experience, including at least four to five years in project management, program coordination, implementation support, or operational improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, change enablement, project deployment, or operational improvement in a complex business environment is an asset.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and preparing decision-ready materials for leadership review is an asset.


Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and delivery approaches, including PMI, Agile, and/or hybrid delivery methods.
  • Strong organizational and execution management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, maintain delivery discipline, and drive results in a complex environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and change leadership capabilities, including the ability to build alignment, influence without authority, and support sustainable adoption of change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both official languages, including the ability to prepare concise, leadership-ready materials.
  • Strong service orientation and client focus, with the ability to understand business issues, constraints, risks, and operational impacts.
  • Data-informed problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret implementation results, identify variances, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Resourceful, independent, collaborative, and able to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgment and stakeholder alignment.
  • Comfort using collaboration and reporting tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power BI, and related Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Understanding of the management consulting business is an asset.
