Job SummarySeeking a Procurement Process Consultant to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting technology procurement process improvements. The consultant will partner with technology leadership to analyze, redesign, and optimize end-to-end procurement processes by eliminating manual activities, improving operational efficiency, reducing procurement cycle times, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and optimize the end-to-end technology procurement process to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Drive data-informed process improvements and transformational initiatives.
- Design and implement an enhanced operating model for technology procurement.
- Standardize procurement contracts, templates, and documentation.
- Identify and eliminate redundant and non-value-added activities.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Budget, and Policy teams on technology procurement initiatives.
- Develop and expand the vendor pool for technology procurements.
- Create and maintain procurement documentation, including:
- Business Requirements Specifications (BRS)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operating Manuals
- Training Materials
- Knowledge Articles
- Ensure procurement processes comply with established procurement policies and governance standards.
- Lead process redesign, process improvement, and change management workshops.
- Coach stakeholders on new processes and best practices.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills- Experience analyzing and improving end-to-end procurement processes.
- Strong understanding of technology procurement operations and procurement lifecycle.
- Experience with business process transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ability to develop business requirements and process documentation.
- Experience leading process redesign and change management workshops.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Procurement, Finance/Budget, and Policy teams.
- Ability to present recommendations to executive and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills- Experience standardizing procurement templates and contracts.
- Experience developing vendor management strategies or vendor pools.
- Knowledge of procurement policies and governance practices.
- Experience supporting technology procurement organizations.
Work Arrangement- Hybrid
