POSITION SUMMARY

Barton Malow is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support mission-critical projects within our Mission Critical sector. This is an onsite role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project delivery, including client communication, cost management, scheduling, and quality control. This individual will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The Project Manager will manage financial performance through SAP and robust cost control practices, oversee project risks, insurance requirements, and general work performance, and drive accountability across the project team through consistent communication and leadership.

Qualifications
  • Facilitate and lead coordination meetings with internal and external project teams from preconstruction through closeout to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Oversee procurement activities including bidding strategies, scope development, pre-bid meetings, and bid evaluation and award recommendations.
  • Initiate and manage the development of project schedules, site logistics plans, mobilization activities, and permitting requirements.
  • Manage project financials, including general conditions budgets, cost forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost reporting using SAP.
  • Ensure strong cost control practices are implemented and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Support the Superintendent in managing owner relations, subcontractor communications, and enforcement of contract requirements.
  • Coordinate Barton Malow personnel and project resources while supervising jobsite staff and monitoring performance against schedule and quality expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and Barton Malow team members.
  • Administer the financial and contractual aspects of owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change management processes.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks while maintaining compliance with insurance and safety requirements.


Preferred Experience, Education, & Skills:
  • Strong cost control and budgeting experience, including forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP for project financial management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant mission-critical or data center construction experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a solid understanding of contracts and legal provisions.
  • Ability to adapt to change, manage evolving priorities, and respond effectively to new challenges.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to oversee trade partner performance and uphold Barton Malow's quality standards.
  • A strong sense of urgency with the ability to assess complex issues, resolve conflicts, and drive resolution in a firm yet fair manner.
