As a Project Management Office Team Lead, you will lead the Human Resources (HR) Project Management Office, which brings structure, consistency, and clear oversight to a portfolio of HR projects. You will help set priorities, strengthen governance, support project managers and teams, and improve how project work is planned, tracked, and delivered across HR. Primary duties include:
- Lead and oversee the Human Resources Project Management Office, establishing structure, consistency, and clear governance across the HR project portfolio.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks and processes for HR projects, including intake, prioritization, decision making, escalation and regular governance forums.
- Manage and optimize the HR project portfolio, including resource planning and decision support to enable effective delivery.
- Define and ensure project management standards, practices and tools to promote quality and a unified approach across HR projects.
- Monitor and report on portfolio status, risks, dependencies, and milestones, ensuring clear and timely communication to leadership.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to project managers, consultants, and cross-functional teams to strengthen delivery outcomes.
- Partner with HR and corporate teams to align priorities and to support consistent, effective project delivery.
- Identify and implement practical improvements to strengthen project delivery, consistency and overall results.
Qualifications - A degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field combined with a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Preference will be given to applicants with a specialization in Project Management.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in project delivery, including portfolio oversight and process improvement.
- Experience establishing, leading, or enhancing a Project Management Office (PMO) is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in a large, complex organization leading staff, setting priorities, coaching, and performance management.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional work involving people, process, and technology.
- The ability to lead through influence in a matrix environment and build strong working partnerships.
- Strong skills in communication, facilitation, report writing, negotiation, and change management.
- Sound judgment and a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
