The Project Manager should be familiar with technical aspects Transportation & Infrastructure Quality Assurance.
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project delivery. More specifically, the PM ensures that the team delivers the right outcomes to the required level of quality, and within the constraints of time, cost, resources and risk as developed in the Project Management Plan.
Project Managers are responsible for the-day-to-day management of all aspects of project delivery. To this end, PMs:
• Put in place suitable commercial and contractual arrangements.
• Build, manage and motivate the Project Team.
• Manage, improve and control project personnel. Project Managers expect conflict and must implement processes to keep personnel motivated and effective.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the project stakeholders, especially with the Client and Project Sponsor.
• Prepare and maintain project information. PMs must continually review and update the Project Management Plan by translating and progressively elaborate high-level information into detailed plans throughout the project life cycle
• Identify and evaluate risks; determine and manage remedial actions.
• Monitor progress against plans. Project Managers monitor and control the work of producing the products, services and results the project was undertaken to produce.
• Implement "Project Control" processes and procedures. Project Managers expect change and must implement processes to ensure change is managed and controlled.
• Prepare, review and present accurate project reports and plans to all stakeholders in accordance with planned formats and intervals.
• Keep work in progress (WIP) to a minimum (unbilled transactions); keep invoicing up to date and payments on schedule
• Identify and follow-up on opportunities for further work in consultation with Sponsors.
Required profile:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineer License (any state)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proven management experience with a large team / project (500k+)
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Must have a working knowledge of AWS codes, ASME Codes, ACI, PCI, and coatings.
• Experience working on bridge and rail projects.
Salary Range: $130-$195k per year
