Salary Range: $84,000.00 to $107,000.00

The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range

The Role

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The incumbent will be responsible for strengthening the current technical training program by acting as co-lead over the division, support implementation of req'd training, modification when needed, feedback to instructors, plan ahead for new niche training and tracking, (for engineers, technicians, and designers), strengthening onboarding (new hires and transfers), knowledge sharing, engagement, human skills training, and new media literacy initiatives (podcasts, virtual learning sessions, etc.). In addition employee will serve dual roles (e.g., technical training lead and knowledge sharing) to minimize silos and gain efficiencies/correlation b/w activities. Must possess strong documentation skills and adherence to company processes, procedures, and standardizations. Members of this team will also expand ET&Ds current onboarding and retention initiatives and communication hub across 4,000+ employees. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to support special projects (both short and/or long term) that include, but are not limited to coordinating key business units and functions across the division to assist w/ the migration and/or upgrade of internal Networks. These are strategic positions that will define our purpose, connect employees to the bigger picture (e.g., mission, process improvement, and meeting milestones), grow our bench strength, reduce overall attrition w/in the division, and ensure compliance of our Networks.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience


Nice to Have

  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a high level of emotional intelligence for a business management operations office w/in the Engineering, Technology & Design division.
  • Candidate is able to analyze and complete work accurately, on-time w/ an outcome of high - first time quality of delivered products.
  • Ideal candidate has the ability to learn, comprehend information, adapt and apply. Ability to document and exhibit reasonable time management skills, superb customer service to upstream/downstream customers, and desire to work to strengths daily.
  • Project management certificate ideal.
