Position Overview

We are searching for a Project Lead on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will provide project management support for our large federal government agency's highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.
The Project Lead is responsible for coordinating, defining, staffing, and managing large Information Technology projects(s) in accordance with client requirements and company guidelines. Guides, organizes, and monitors information technology professional services provided by team. Works with the project owner or project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure delivery quality and report schedule and execution performance. Organizes, guides, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure all tasks assigned to the team are addressed in accordance with the policies and standards documented and identified by the government
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the personnel on the task
  • Coordinate the schedules and availability of contractors to ensure required coverage to accomplish the requirements of the contract
  • Provide feedback to the Government on changes or improvements to systems or processes based on the work done by the personnel on the task through the weekly and monthly deliverables and Project Management Reviews (PMRs)
  • Provide quality assurance on the work performed by the contractors to ensure customer service, technical competence, completeness, and accuracy
  • Ensure excellent customer service in all interactions by conducting customer follow-up to gain feedback and identify successes or failures to provide feedback to both the government and contract staff

Requirements
  • Active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI
  • Must be able to work onsite at customer facility
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of IT-related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience
  • Large enterprise environment experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Agile and Scaled Agile ceremonies

Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Three (3) years of Project Leadership experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience managing network engineering projects
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira
  • Experience with SharePoint
