Project Lead, Record to Report

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Role Overview

Reporting to the Global Process Owner, Record to Report , the Project Lead, Record to Report is responsible for driving the daily execution of Finance SAP project activities.

This role is a key interface between the ERP Program office including the ERP Project Leads in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Organizational Readiness (OR) and Project Management Office (PMO) workstreams supporting the BO, GPO and GDO in re-enforcing program policies and processes supporting a rigorous project management cadence and oversight. This role will also engage with EY leads including the Functional Lead for RTR.

This role will directly support business outcomes by providing guidance and support to the RTR workstreams to achieve workstream objectives and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for the workstream initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support upstream, downstream and lateral requirements by collaborating with multiple teams to align integration points, to develop and implement the function specific plans and to facilitate cross-functional work packages.
  • Advise and support BO, GPO and GDO with governance and compliance, process and data management, stakeholder coordination, change and risk management activities.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of project timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams within the operating model transformation, working closely with SI/ management consultant partner.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to support project delivery, ensuring availability of critical skills and capabilities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to the transformation initiative, ensuring proactive management and communication of potential issues.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on functional workstream progress, financial performance, and key metrics to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and apply lessons learned to improve future project delivery and transformation efforts.
  • Lead project management cadences and processes, ensuring their effective establishment and execution.
  • Support day-to-day management of execution against the Implementation Plan, including proactive identification of Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID) impacts and support of resolution.
  • Support the change request process by screening requests for alignment with Guiding Principles.
  • Supports development of RTR updates and materials.
  • Serve as a key liaison between RTR and project stakeholders (e.g. business, IT, vendors), ensuring everyone is aligned and informed on project activities and status.
  • Interface with business and technology leaders on dependent initiatives/projects and actively manage the dependencies.


Qualifications

  • Project management experience in corporate environments; preferably on large projects, business transformations or systems implementations working with Systems Integrators/ management consultants.
  • Proven expertise with SAP including experience with data management or data governance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline, along with a CPA designation.
  • Ability to navigate effectively between technical and functional business teams; able to use corporate intelligence and past SAP experience to clearly articulate priorities, success factors, risks and opportunities to the project team.
  • Ability to lead and influence project teams to drive project delivery. This includes strong conflict resolution skills between leaders, business owners and functional team
  • Ability to work across functional and geographical boundaries, building collaborative relationships to drive process integration and adoption.
  • Proven experience in leading large, complex enterprise-wide programs, with expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.). Qualifications in PMP, PgMP or PMI an asset
  • Ability to establish governance frameworks and proactively manage risks across multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to manage and report on program budgets, ensuring financial control and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Ability to coordinate resources and managing interfaces with other initiatives.
  • Ability to identify, assess and mitigate project risks related to business transformation.
