Job Description

The Project Industrial Hygienist will play a vital role in our Fort Lauderdale environmental department, growing and leading a team of professionals to address industrial hygiene concerns within the built environment. The Fort Lauderdale office is active in the South Florida market and is looking for the right person to help actively grow our IH services and the team. This role involves managing existing business and securing new clients, developing technical and cost proposals, participating with preparation of municipal submittals (RFP responses), managing technical and financial aspects of projects, mentoring and growing IH/ asbestos staff, managing (IH) projects (asbestos, mold, indoor air quality, radon, noise, etc), and ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, as well occupants and workers of project sites.

We are seeking a person who has established themselves as a team leader and is driven to success, forward looking, and understands that technical excellence and financial management are critical to the proper performance of every client project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of industrial hygienists and technicians in South Florida.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Prepare well written technical fee proposals for private and public clients.
  • Assist with and support the preparation of RFP responses to public (city, county, state, federal) agencies. Attend and participate in presentations to clients, potential clients, and municipalities.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in industrial hygiene.
  • Ensure the accurate documentation and reporting of all project activities and findings.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to integrate environmental health considerations into projects.
  • Promote a culture of safety and health awareness within the organization and among clients.
