Job Title: Project Executive
Location: Charlotte, NC
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $170,000 - $250,000
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40 hour week with overtime as needed.
Overview
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for large-scale, mission-critical electrical projects within hyperscale data center construction.
- Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, profitability, quality, safety, scheduling, client satisfaction, subcontractor management, risk management, and project execution.
- Develop and communicate project strategies, budgets, and financial controls, including monitoring profit and loss and reviewing change proposals.
- Review design documents, verify project scopes, and collaborate with pre-construction and VDC/BIM teams to ensure accurate budgets and schedules.
- Manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate recovery strategies to stakeholders.
- Partner with VDC/BIM teams to optimize electrical layouts, review construction documents, and coordinate trades.
- Develop and oversee project prefabrication strategies, coordinating efforts between teams and trade partners to enhance efficiency.
- Implement safety and quality control programs, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor project management and field teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in electrical construction project management, especially in mission-critical or hyperscale data center projects.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale electrical construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
- Experience managing project financial performance, contracts, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge of VDC/BIM, 3D coordination models, prefabrication strategies, and construction safety/quality control processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and teams, and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
