Join Ben's Structural Fabrication as our
Project Executive, where you'll lead the Project Management function while continuing to manage assigned structural steel projects from award through final completion. In this working-leader role, you'll provide direction and oversight across the project portfolio, develop Project Managers and the Project & Compliance Coordinator, and help ensure projects are executed safely, successfully, and profitably.
What You'll DoAs the
Project Executive at Ben's Structural Fabrication, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the Project Management Function: Establish priorities, provide direction and oversight, balance workload and resources, support resolution of complex or escalated project matters, and promote consistent project management practices that support timely and profitable project execution.
- Lead & Develop the Team: Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers and the Project & Compliance Coordinator by establishing clear expectations, supporting professional development, evaluating performance, and fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Manage & Oversee Project Execution: Personally manage assigned structural steel projects from award through final completion while providing oversight and support across active projects to ensure safety, quality, schedule, budget, profitability, documentation, and customer expectations are achieved.
- Drive Contract & Financial Performance: Oversee project contracts, estimates, schedules of values, budgets, job costs, billing requirements, change exposure, and overall profitability while identifying risks and ensuring changes in scope, cost, or schedule are properly documented and managed.
- Maintain Strong Project Controls: Ensure schedules, drawings, approvals, RFIs, ASIs, RFPs, submittals, change requests, change orders, correspondence, tracking systems, project records, and close-out documentation are accurately maintained and effectively managed.
- Build Strong Customer & Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain effective relationships with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders through timely communication, expectation management, project meetings, and proactive issue resolution.
- Coordinate Across the Business: Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Detailing, Estimating, and other internal teams to coordinate drawings and approvals, material needs, fabrication priorities, freight, field measurements, delivery requirements, erection activities, and other project needs.
- Improve Department Performance: Identify project risks, trends, process gaps, and improvement opportunities while strengthening processes, communication, consistency, employee capability, and project profitability.
This is a full-time, salaried position. Work is typically performed Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with availability outside of standard shift hours as needed to support project and customer needs. Travel of up to 20% may be required.
Pay Transparency StatementIn accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the anticipated pay range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and role requirements. Eligible employees may also participate in company benefit programs, subject to plan terms and employment status.

Position RequirementsRequired- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive project management experience in structural steel fabrication, construction, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from award through final completion.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, coaching, or developing Project Managers or other professional staff.
- Demonstrated experience with project financial management, including budgets, job costs, change management, billing, and project profitability.
- Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documentation.
- Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and other construction industry stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
Preferred- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and construction processes, including detailing, material procurement, fabrication, delivery, and erection.
- Experience with construction and project management technology, customer portals, ERP systems, scheduling tools, and document management platforms.
