Project Executive | Houston, TX

IMEG is hiring a Project Executive in Houston, TX to assist the Client Executive in managing the team through client relationship development and project leadership. This role calls for a proven leader with a strong track record of managing large projects within one or more markets and supporting continued team growth.

In this role, you'll help drive business development, oversee project financial performance, mentor senior staff, and coordinate with marketing and technical operations to support team growth and consistency. You'll support a Houston structural team with active work across healthcare, industrial, mixed-use, and related commercial and institutional projects, contributing to sustainable design goals including SE2050.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to grow the team's project pipeline, identify new business and repeat engagements, and stay visible in the market.
  • Help drive strategic growth by promoting business-development principles, market positioning, and client relationship focus across the team.
  • Participate in promotional activities and market-focused organizations to strengthen market presence and keep the team informed on trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Client Executive and marketing department on business development opportunities, interviews, and marketing efforts.
  • Serve as Project Manager on most assigned projects and take a major role in developing and presenting for client interviews.
  • Manage client and project fees with a total aggregate value of approximately $2M.
  • Bring in new projects on a regular basis and contribute approximately $1M in new fees annually.
  • Oversee the financial success of projects managed or directed and assist the Client Executive with accounts receivable collection.
  • Support the Technical Operations Team's efforts to provide technical training and consistency across teams.
  • Assist with updating the marketing database with team leads and proposals.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to senior staff on client relations and project management.


What You'll Bring

Required
  • Significant stock ownership representing, at a minimum, a clear, forward focused path to the Associate Principal level
  • Minimum 10 years required, 15 years preferred, of project management, construction management, or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Expert level mastery of the technical aspects of one's discipline
  • Demonstrated aptitude to design/manage major projects
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar related field preferred

  • Recent work includes Memorial Hermann Cypress Campus Expansion SD-CA, Healthcare, and Kelsey-Seybold Beltway 8 Cancer Center, Healthcare.
