The Opportunity
The Project Executive provides strategic leadership and oversight for multiple project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with maximum return. This senior leadership role combines operational management, business development, risk management, and team development.
What You'll Do
Operational Leadership
- Lead project teams to achieve project goals while following established management processes and company standards.
- Oversee division performance, profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Present project updates during monthly Project Executive Reviews.
- Analyze budgets, forecasts, proposals, and business trends to support decision-making.
- Drive process improvements, identify risks, and champion company culture and values.
Business Development
- Support pursuit and proposal efforts for negotiated, design-build, CM, and bid projects.
- Develop qualifications, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Qualify leads, cultivate client and trade partner relationships, and collaborate with Preconstruction on project pursuits.
- Participate in or lead pursuit strategies from opportunity identification through award.
Contracts & Risk Management
- Advise on contract negotiation, administration, and risk management in partnership with executive leadership, the CFO, and General Counsel.
- Maintain alignment between project priorities and company objectives.
Safety, Quality & Team Leadership
- Promote a strong safety culture in partnership with the Safety team.
- Support quality assurance and quality control efforts across projects.
- Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers and their teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and oversee employee development.
- Approve team time submissions and expense reports.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of construction management experience required; 12+ years preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Financial and operational expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and business development.
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
This role involves both office and active construction site environments. Team members must be able to navigate jobsites, including uneven terrain, ladders, and scaffolding; work at a computer for extended periods; and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position requires the ability to safely operate in construction environments and effectively communicate on active jobsites.
