Position Summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering project execution and technical improvement initiatives at its Wichita Falls manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will oversee capital projects, automation implementation, controls upgrades, and process engineering activities designed to improve manufacturing performance, reliability, and cost.

The Project Engineering Manager will lead multiple concurrent engineering initiatives while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Production Control, and other cross-functional teams. This leader will also provide direction and coaching to engineering resources, ensuring technical priorities are aligned with plant and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented engineering leader with strong project execution, manufacturing, process improvement, and people leadership experience in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Engineering Projects: Direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and technical objectives are achieved.
  • Execute Capital & Automation Initiatives: Lead capital project planning and execution, controls upgrades, and automation implementation across the facility.
  • Improve Manufacturing Performance: Partner with production teams to identify and implement improvements in capacity, yield, cycle time, productivity, and cost.
  • Provide Process Engineering Support: Support Operations and Maintenance with process engineering expertise, root cause analysis, plant testing, and technical problem solving.
  • Strengthen Data & Root Cause Analysis: Improve data collection and analysis to identify abnormal conditions, determine root causes, and support data-based decision making.
  • Build Engineering Capability: Guide, coach, and develop engineering resources while reinforcing accountability, collaboration, and achievement-oriented team behaviors.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Finance, People/HR, Customer Service, Sales, vendors, and other Sealed Air locations to support project and business priorities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with capital projects, automation, controls, and process improvement
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use data-based decision making to drive results
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • Strong business judgment, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance and manage multiple priorities

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $102,600-$153,000

The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
