What you'll do:
In this role, you will lead key aspects of site design, work with cross-functional teams, and support project delivery across diverse market sectors throughout the Northeast. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving problems and collaborating with others while maintaining the flexibility to define their future career path. Position roles and responsibilities include the following:
- Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems for complex multi-disciplinary projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Analyze zoning regulations, site conditions, and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
- Perform stormwater mitigation and hydrology calculations using HydroCAD and supporting software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive design packages.
- Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in technical training and quality review.
- Support client communication, permitting efforts, and coordination with review agencies.
- Lead in construction administration efforts and coordination on all projects.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting support.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater mitigation design software (i.e. HydroCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong understanding of local zoning research, site development processes, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, strong technical writing, and communication skills.
- Experience in dealing with multiple projects and clients along with managing technical, budgetary and stakeholder restrictions on projects.
- A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertaken
- PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.
- Valid driver's license
Salary: $98,000 - $112,000 depending on experience
