Position Summary

Responsibilities will include delivery of various design phases of transportation projects, including projects for state DOT's, Cities, and other Local Public Agencies. Employees in this position will complete professional engineering assignments for transportation projects including one or more of the following disciplines: roadway design, traffic design, MOT/construction phasing, stormwater analysis and design, erosion control design, multi-use trails, sidewalks, & multi-modal facility design, and utility design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and coordinate a variety of infrastructure project types including, but not limited to: new roadway, roadway expansions and improvements, intersections and other operational improvements, pedestrian facilities and utility projects.
• Create engineering documents including design plans, specifications and design conformance reports.
• Design drainage, erosion, or sedimentation control systems for transportation and site civil projects
• Review construction plans, design calculations, and specifications to ensure completeness, accuracy, or conformity to engineering standards or practices.
• Contribute to the preparation or modification of analysis and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, utility companies, or government agencies to discuss various aspects of the design.
• Assist in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Address design RFI's potentially including field investigation
• Work as a team member with other professionals across offices and geographies.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Train and help to develop junior level staff.
• Perform 3D roadway modeling using Bentley Open Roads or Autodesk Civil 3D
• Assist Project Managers in a variety of project administrative duties. Such as maintaining records and preparing reports and correspondence related to the work.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
• A Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
• 3 years minimum of relevant engineering design experience. Salary range based on 2-5 years experience but more experienced individuals welcome to apply; salary commensurate with experience
• PE preferred

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $85,500 - $97,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
