Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin's outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability. The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the next generation system by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System.
The Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost. This position is for an Execution Lead in a Post Boost Control System (PBCS) hardware IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. As the Execution Lead you will be responsible for integrating technical, cost, and schedule data to keep mission critical milestones and hardware deliveries on track. Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, and suppliers to resolve issues and drive day-to-day execution
• Develop and manage detailed project plans while supporting Control Account Management
• Report progress, issues, and achievements to IPT Lead and Management
• Work cross functionally to develop proposal deliverables such as but not limited to scoping documents, fact-finding presentations, and basis of estimates
• Identify risk, issues, and opportunities and implement approved risk handling plans
• Support other duties as assigned by IPT Lead including execution of project management duties across IPT
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from accredited college or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience leading projects, teams, and/or development efforts
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired skills
• Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
• Experience with FBM processes and products
• Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high priority tasks
• Experience with resource estimation & management, component development estimation, project planning, and project management
• Experience in proposal development: Basis of Estimate (BOE), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), & Statement of Work (SOW) generation
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) initial drafting and baselining
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
