A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our North America Project Engineering team as an Expert Professional (P5) and play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our SoCo E-STATCOM projects. You will lead strategic project planning and design, overseeing the execution of complex grid technology solutions. Imagine establishing operational frameworks, guiding project implementation with your expert authority, and maintaining alignment with internal and external partners. Your expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in FACTS or STATCOM systems, will be crucial as you drive project success and influence functional outcomes.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Establish operational plans and detailed design criteria for large-scale E-STATCOM projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive engineering design packages, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and equipment selection.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts to ensure project feasibility and control.
  • Direct and monitor project execution from design through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact, communicating project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.

What You Bring
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with 8+ years in project engineering for high-voltage EPC projects, with specific expertise in FACTS, STATCOM, or similar power compensation systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Strong skills in project and process management, including project planning, scoping, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Excellent influencing and analytical skills to drive project success and resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
