The Project Engineer will act as the focal point for all technical details of the project. You will thoroughly understand the design documents, specifications, references, and project scope. The Project Engineer's role includes coordinating and preparing all technical documentation to build a prefabricated modular datacenter solution according to customer requirements and within defined project schedule while maintaining quality standards. Strict attention to detail, understanding of time constraints, and implications of proper documentation all add up to an effective Project Engineer. As part of the engineering team, the Project Engineer will be working closely with Project Managers, Technical Leaders, and Subject Matter Experts. This position will provide support to factory personnel throughout the build, test and closeout processes; and be responsible for all technical documentation throughout the execution phase of the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Thoroughly understand the design documents, specifications, references, and project scope.
- Keep minutes for all regular and technical design meetings.
- Identify, review, collect, verify and store all project technical documents as they are available during the project.
- Develop approval drawings to meet customer scope.
- Perform change management for design documents and customer submittals.
- Manage all engineering work schedules and assign tasks to designers and subject matter experts.
- Track all technical design deviations and notify project/design team for resolution.
- Revise and approve fabrication drawings.
- Develop major bill of material for the project.
- Maintain and track design submittals, shop drawings, and engineering hours budget.
- Maintain current design documents with all addenda and redlines.
- Secure all warranties and guarantees from subcontractors and vendors as defined in the design documents, specifications, and contract.
- Manage handover of design packages to factory for construction and perform QC during the integration phase to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Ensure all changes to the design documents are redlined to manage the final as-built documents.
- Prepare all final documentation for the project including as-built drawings, certificates, O&M documents, spare part lists, ect.
Educational requirements- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (ABET accredited preferred)
Valuable skills and experience- Data Center critical infrastructure knowledge (Power, Cooling, Monitoring)
- Building or industrial installations (Cabling, lighting, piping, plumbing)
- Experience working in REVIT at least 1 year.
- Functional knowledge using Autodesk REVIT, Autodesk Construction Cloud , AutoCAD 2D and Bluebeam.
Skills- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical details to various project stakeholders in clear verbal and written form.
- Ability to learn and understand various disciplines outside of your current skillset.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and team members with various skillsets with varying level of experience.
- Strong systems mindset and eagerness to learn how all elements of the system work together to develop the overall solution.
- Ability to coordinate project documentation from electrical, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural discipline to meet customer requirements and production constraints.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members, Technical Leaders, contractors/vendors and consultants to resolve technical issues and to ensure the quality and integrity.
- Desire to innovate. Optimizing designs in compliance with relevant regulatory codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills with the ability to pay a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to fluently communicate in verbal and written English.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 68,000 - USD 102,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
