Job Title: Project Engineer

Reporting To:

Manager, Site Engineering

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Chatsworth, CA

Moog is hiring a Project Engineer to focus on production programs for hydraulic actuators and electromechanical actuators. This position will be responsible for the product delivery throughout the product lifecycle.  This includes proposal support, program kick-off, design reviews, qualification, and production of the hardware.  Reporting to an Engineering manager, you will have a 9/80 schedule option and work onsite in Chatsworth, CA (Los Angeles area).

As a Project Engineer, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel.

  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.

  • Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write‑ups.

  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.

  • Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.

  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.

To be considered for the role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Math, Science, Technology)

  • 5+ years of professional experience in design/development Engineering

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

It’d be great if you also had:

  • Experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electrohydraulic or electromechanical actuators

  • Experience in EVMS (Earned Value Management System) fundamentals, project planning, scheduling and resource loading; experience with MS Project

  • The engineering degree is in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • Experience in the design, analysis and development of complex systems

  • Test experience with electric/hydraulic driven systems

Salary Range Transparency:

Chatsworth, CA $90,000.00–$125,000.00 Annually
